5. Interpretation of the results and writing of discussion chapter for Masters and Ph.D. studies

About this course:

The write up of the results, discussion, and conclusion chapters, needs to be done in such a way that it demonstrates the new knowledge added by the current study to boby of knowledge.  The student should provide a logical presentation of all chapters to the graduate committee and external examination.

Day 1

  1. Introduction
  2. Developing of the discussion and conclusion chapter
  3. Ensuring logical presentation
  4. Quality controls of tables and figures
  5. Writing exercise

Day 2:

  1. Introduction
  2. Scholarly arguments
  3. Comparative analysis
  4. Discussing results in line with the objectives
  5. Theoretical analysis versus the current findings.
  6. Discussion

Day 3:

  1. Introduction
  2. Management of references.
  3. Quality Control.
  4. Self examination
  5. Discussion

  1. Integrating the work of other scholars in the arguments

  1. Tables and figures construction.
