4. Quantitative data analysis (SPSS/Stata) for Masters and Ph.D. studies

About this course:

Quantintative data analysis is a critical step towards finding the results of the study. With a processed data set, statistical tools and frame work for analysis, data analysis will yield interpretable results.

Day 1

  1. Introduction
  2. Analytical matrix
  3. A descriptive and inferential framework
  4. Research models
  5. Research outputs
  6. Writing exercise

Day 2:

  1. Introduction
  2. Descriptive output
  3. Inferential output.
  4. Discussion

Day 3:

  1. Introduction
  2. Organising the results (APA style).
  3. Putting the results into the chapter framework.
  4. Scientific writing of the results.
  5. Class discussion
  6. conclusion of the literature review

Course outcomes:

Day 1:

  1. Analytical framework and draft chapter for results

Day 2:

  1. Descriptive and inferential output

Day 3

  1. Tables and figures construction.
  2. Assistance to colloquium
