2. Writing the literature review for Masters and Ph.D. studies

About this course:

Many students, regardless of the race, class, and gender, find it difficult to write an adequate and convincing literature review, making this section of their studies quite weak. As results, their studies become vulnerable to criticism.

Day 1

  1. Introduction
  2. Significance of the literature review
  3. Developing a literature  framework
  4. Tips for academic writing
  5. Originality and avoiding plagiarism
  6. Principle of literature review structure
  7. Writing exercise

Day 2:

  1. Introduction
  2. Writing & presenting items for literature reviews
  3. Evaluation of the writings

Day 3:

  1. Introduction
  2. Evaluations of the literature reviews
  3. Class discussion
  4. Writing of the conclusion of the literature review

Course outcomes:

Day 1:

Compiling the draft of section C-Literature review

Day 2:

  1. Compiling the draft of section C of the research  proposal

Day 3

  1. Compiling the draft of section C of the research  proposal
  2. Assistance to colloquium
